They have announced the 2023 Health Professions Scholarship recipients.
The yearly scholarship supports students with a prize of $1,500 for those pursuing a career in the health-care sector. Specifically, standout applicants that have great potential to pursue a lofty career.
The two recipients this year are Nicole Crisp from Castleton, who’s looking to pursue a new career in the field. The second recipient is Lola Dickson from Grafton, who’s already working towards a Bachelor of Health Science at the University of Ottawa.
Vice-chair Tom McLean said “there were many worthy candidates, but tonight’s recipients stood out from their peers. They’re bright, they’re dedicated, they’re empathetic and—in a time with many challenges—they are very focused on their goals.”
