Smithfield Public School will get a playground refresh thanks to funding assistance from the Municipality of Brighton.
Mayor Brian Ostrander says when school is not in session, there will be public access to the playground.
Ostrander says the funding arrangement is similar to Brighton’s hand-up to East Northumberland Secondary School to develop its track and field facilities.
