The proposed 32 unit condo project in Gosport is running into more opposition.
Some residents of the lakeshore community in Brighton worry the proposed build would threaten wetlands and indigenous artifacts in the area.
Brighton Mayor Brian Ostrander said the municipality his dealing with the project by the book and so far has only received developer and public feedback.
He said the municipality is listening to all sides in the process.
Ostrander said he’s aware of the expressed concerns by some Gosport residents.
Ostrander says planning staff have been advised to provide council with recommendations.
A published report says a local community association is threatening to go to the Ontario Land Tribunal to stop the project if it’s approved.
