The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has completed its investigation into the fatal plane crash in Canton this past summer.
On August 13, the plane carrying 74-year-old Alvin Crosby and 72-year-old Suzanne Parent, both of Ottawa, crashed shortly after takeoff, killing them both.
The investigation revealed that the plane struck a tree with its left wing, causing it to come down nose first in a nearby field.
The plane was not required to have a data recorder, so investigators can’t determine why the plane hit the tree.
