Snow has touched down around the region and that means it is time to adapt to winter driving conditions.
Spokesperson with CAA, Nadia Matos, says winter tires are always a great idea to get put on.
Matos says you should get your vehicle checked to make sure the battery is in good shape.
Matos adds you should always check the weather forecast before leaving and add at least 15 minutes to your drive to allow for additional traffic due to weather.
You should have an emergency kit in your car containing items such as gloves, hats, a blanket, a first aid kit, booster cables and a small shovel.
