It’s the last day of Small Business Week on 93.3 MYFM, powered by Get in the Loop Northumberland.
In today’s spotlight, Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
Habitat for Humanity has a vision: where everyone has a decent place to live. In support of that vision, the ReStore generates revenue to help build and maintain affordable homes in Northumberland.
They opened the first ReStore in 2004 on Ewart Street and in 2016 they moved to the former Home Hardware store on Division Street where the additional space has really been put to good use.
Habitat’s Melissa Cranston told us what you might find at the store.
Melissa told us the ReStore is vital to the work they do, providing essential funding that has, so far, helped 62 families achieve affordable home ownership.
Volunteers are the backbone of Habitat for Humanity providing hours of service that help generate funds to build strength, stability and independence through affordable housing in Northumberland County
Cranston told us the ReStore certainly helps fund their community builds, but it also diverts usable items from the trash.
If you have a renovation coming up, Melissa reminds you to consider how the ReStore can help.
