A Baltimore woman has been charged by Durham Region Police with sexual assault stemming from an incident at a Durham Region school in 2018.
35-year-old Ashley Jansen, a former education assistant with the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board from 2010 to 2021, is facing charges of Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference.
Police say they opened an investigation back in August after a victim came forward.
The name of the school is being withheld by police to protect the victim’s identity, but they said the incident took place at a Durham Region elementary school in 2018.
Investigators want to ensure there are no other victims.
