Whether you live in the US or Canada, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is one of the biggest and most anticipated events of the holiday season. It’s become a tradition among families to watch the parade on the U.S. Thanksgiving Day and second only to the Super Bowl in terms of viewership.
This year, members of Jennifer’s Jazz it Up studio will perform for the thousands watching live and millions of TV viewers across North America.
Jennifer’s Jazz It Up is celebrating over 23 years, serving dancers throughout Northumberland County including Port Hope, Cobourg and surrounding areas. JJIU has been winner of Best Dance Studio for over 10 consecutive years.
Owner Jennifer Mercer told us their performance has been in the works for a couple of years.
Each year the floats become bigger and more elaborate with thousands of volunteers joining in to make this holiday celebration enjoyable for all those watching from home or coming to attend the parade.
Mercer told us the invitation is a great achievement for her studio.
According to Jennifer, it’s a jam packed agenda for her dancers.
Mercer told us it’s a very elaborate performance.
First introduced in 1924, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade falls this year on November 24, so be sure to mark your calendar and tune in to support our local talent.
