
With all the COVID safety protocols in place, the Warkworth Festival of Trees is begins on December 6th, 2021 in new location.
Brought to you by the Percy Agricultural Society, the Warkworth Festival of Trees is normally held at the old Town Hall building in downtown Warkworth, but this year it is at the Red Barn building inside the Fairgrounds located at 24 East Street.
Admission is free and attendees can purchase tickets to win the tree of their choice by placing their tickets in individual ticket boxes, the more tickets in the box, the better your chances are to win the tree.
Tickets are $2.00 each.
“There are 20 stunning trees up for raffle and two decorated wreaths,” said Christine Milligan – Warkworth Fair committee member. “There are also silent auction items available to place bids on too.”
The Festival of Trees in Warkworth takes place over 3 days during the following hours:
· Friday, December 6th sneak peak 6 – 9 pm
· Saturday, December 7th 9 am – 4 pm
· Sunday, December 8th 10 am – 2 pm
· Draw takes place at 2 pm Sunday
· Winners will be notified by phone
“We have had great community support,” added Milligan. “A special thank you to KOL Tree Farms for providing the trees and all the local businesses and sponsors who decorated their trees.”
Proceeds from this year’s event will be used to improve both the horse pull and beef showing areas on the Warkworth fairgrounds.
