The Cobourg Cougars has just signed forward Caleb Thompson.
Thompson played the 2019-2020 season with the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League posting 20 points as an under-age player, before joining the Blackhawks this year.
Cougars coach Wes Wolfe has described Thompson as a disruptive forechecker who can be trusted to play against the opposition’s best players while still contributing offensively.
Also to note earlier this month the Ontario Junior Hockey League announced that the 2021-2022 Regular Season will start on October 1st.
The Cougars are celebrating their 56th year as a franchise.
