Northumberland OPP is closing its three detachments to the public.
Police say the move is to limit contact during the province-wide shutdown currently in effect in Ontario.
They are limiting the processing of criminal record and vulnerable sector checks and fingerprinting to essential workers and volunteers only.
Appointments must be set up if you have business to take care of in either the Cobourg, Brighton or Campbellford offices.
Here are the numbers to call to set up an appointment:
Cobourg – 905-372-5421
Brighton – 613-475-133
Campbellford – 705-653-3300
Everyone coming into the detachment will be screened and required to wear proper PPE such as a mask or face covering.
