There’s been an assault at the Port Hope dog park.
On Tuesday (Nov 3), the Northumberland OPP were notified of an assault that occurred at the a dog park.
Around 11 am, two Port Hope residents attended the off-leash dog park located on Baulch Road.
One of the individuals tried prevent the other from entering one of the fenced in areas of the park.
An altercation then ensued between the two and resulted in one of the individuals being physically assaulted.
As a result of the investigation 72-year-old Michael Rowland of Port Hope was arrested and charged with assault.
He will answer to the charges in Cobourg Court in the new year.
