Broadband services important to you?
Residents were invited to join Tony Paulic, Northumberland County Director of IT, and David Fell, CEO of the Eastern Ontario Regional Network (EORN), last Wednesday (Sept 25) for one of two presentations about broadband and digital initiatives in Northumberland.
Presentations included an overview of EORN’s plans to improve cellular and broadband connectivity in Northumberland and across Eastern Ontario, as well as information about Northumberland County’s recently-released Digital Strategy 2019.
Paulic tells us why this is so important.
He says the sessions were well attended.
Paulic says home business and at home schooling that would benefit from better broadband.
He tells us some of their next steps and says more sessions should be coming up in the near future.
These initiatives focus on increasing access to fast, reliable internet in Northumberland, and ways to use innovation and technology to engage with residents, improve service delivery, and drive local economic development.
